New Zealand's thumping nine-wicket win in the first cricket test against the West Indies is not reflected in the early TAB odds for the second test at the Basin Reserve starting on Boxing Day.
New Zealand are listed at $2.75 and the West Indies at $2.90, but a draw is the TAB's favoured option at $2.35.
Bookmaker Justin Swift said the prospect of rain at some point over the five days influenced the TAB's market.
MetService forecaster Chris Noble said a southerly front would bring periods of rain to Wellington tomorrow and on Christmas Day. However, Boxing Day onward looked promising.
"It could be a bit damp on Boxing Day morning but should clear pretty quickly," Noble said.
