CHENNAI - Sri Lanka paceman Dilhara Fernando grabbed four for 36 to bowl the Asia 11 to a 31-run win over an Africa 11 in the second game of the Afro-Asia Cup for an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match one-day cricket series today.
India's Saurav Ganguly scored a chancy 88 to help Asia amass 337 for seven after skipper Mahela Jayawardene chose to bat on a good pitch.
Africa were 306 all out with five balls to spare despite half-centuries from South African duo Boeta Dippenaar, who made 67, and Mark Boucher, 73.
Asia won the first match by 34 runs.
Fernando earned the man-of-the-match award with his spell after he bowled African skipper Justin Kemp for a duck to take his first two wickets within three deliveries.
