Wet weather has seen play abandoned on the second day of the State Championship cricket match between Wellington and Auckland here today.
Play was also washed out at the Basin Reserve yesterday, leaving Auckland with little hope of securing the outright win required to have any chance of reaching the final.
Wellington lead the competition on 32 points, followed by Canterbury on 26 and Auckland on 20.
