Central Districts will hope they can capitalise on a strong start to their Plunket Shield cricket match against Northern Districts in Gisborne after they dismissed the visitors for just 183.
Northern were in trouble early, slumping to 49 for four - Carl Cachopa was even on a hat-trick - but recovered a little through Adam Wheater (53) and Anton Devcich (33), who put on 62 for the sixth wicket.
The visitors folded quickly after both were dismissed, however, losing their last five wickets for 24 runs.
The wickets were shared around but Cachopa finished with the tidy figures of three for 15 off nine overs.
Central Districts were immediately in trouble, losing Jamie How early, but Cachopa (20) and Jeet Raval (38 not out) steadied things and CD were 67-2 when the players left the field for bad light.
