Cricket: Cairns in running for international award

Chris Cairns has been named as one of the finalists for the international cricketer of the year award.

Cairns is listed with England's Andrew Caddick, South Africa's Lance Klusener and Shaun Pollock, Australia's Ricky Ponting and Glenn McGrath, and India's Sachin Tendulkar as finalists for the award.

The winner will be be announced in London on Tuesday.
