Black Cap Dean Brownlie has broken the Northern Districts first class record after reaching 334 against Central Districts in New Plymouth today.
Beginning the day on 222, Brownlie reached his triple century just before lunch after earlier passing Kane Williamson's 284 - the previous best for Northern.
Brownlie is just the seventh player to score a first class triple century in New Zealand.
His previous first class high score was 171.
Brownlie continued his dominance after lunch reaching 334 before falling to George Worker. He spent 552 minutes in the middle scoring 40 boundaries and eight sixes in his 398-ball innings.
