Former England cricketer Ian Botham has been knighted in the British Queen's Birthday honours list.
The all-rounder has received the honour for his distinguished cricketing career and his work for charity, in which he has raised millions of dollars for leukaemia research.
Sir Ian is delighted with the honour.
He said it is important to realise what a magnificent honour it is to be knighted.
Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs has received an OBE for his services to football.
