SYDNEY - Damien Martyn, Jason Gillespie and Michael Kasprowicz have been dropped from the Australian test team for the Super Series match against a World 11 in Sydney next month.
Martyn was axed after his poor showing in the recent Ashes series 2-1 loss to England in which he made only one half century.
Kasprowicz and Gillespie were dropped during the series.
Shane Watson, Brad Hodge and Stuart McGill come into the thirteen man squad for the test at the Sydney Cricket Ground from October 14-19.
Opening batsman Matthew Hayden was dropped from the one day International side to play three matches against the World 11 in Melbourne on October 5, 7 and 9.
Queensland all-rounder James Hopes, who made a century for Australia A in Pakistan this week, comes into the 14-man squad along with Andrew Symonds, Brad Hogg and NSW left-armer Nathan Bracken.
