Auckland's registered the first win of the domestic cricket season.
The Aces have beaten Northern Districts by 19 runs in their Plunket Shield match in Whangarei.
ND only required 43 runs for victory at tea on the third day's play and had four wickets in hand.
But Andre Adams took three wickets after the adjournment to leave Northern on the brink, before spinner Bruce Martin took the final wicket of Jimmy Baker.
Adams has collected his second five-wicket bag of the match and has finished with match figures of 11-123.
