Auckland have made six changes to their side for the second round Plunket Shield four-day cricket match against Wellington.
The changes for the match at the Basin Reserve beginning tomorrow are the result of returning internationals, selection for the New Zealand Invitation XI to play Pakistan, injuries to replacements, and birth of a baby.
Black Caps Martin Guptill and Scott Styris have been included but Tim McIntosh, Reece Young, Daryl Tuffey and Tarun Nethula, will turn out for NZ A against Pakistan at Queenstown.
Gareth Hopkins will miss the game because of the birth of his first child.
Richard Jones will captain the side in the absence of Hopkins.
Coach Paul Strang has called up New Zealand under-19 player Jonathon Bassett-Graham, Papatoetoe offspinner Bhupinder Singh and former Otago medium pacer Nick Turner.
Auckland
Richard Jones (captain), Martin Guptill, Ravi Bopara, Anaru Kitchen, Scott Styris, Andrew De Boorder, Jeet Raval, Jonathon Bassett-Graham, Bhupinder Singh, Lance Shaw, Michael Bates, Nick Turner.
