A New Zealand umpire has waded into the debate over the fourth test fiasco between England and Pakistan at the Oval.
Pakistan forfeited the fourth cricket test to England after an ugly ball tampering incident, and the controversial end to the test has turned into a public relations disaster.
New Zealand international cricket umpire Tony Hill says it will be interesting when the official statement comes out about the tampering as to what caught the umpires' attention.
Hill says the allegation that they have cheated will leave a nasty taste in the Pakistani cricket team's mouth if they did not actually do it because, essentially, they have been accused of cheating.
What does surprise Hill is the lack of visual images, because when ball tampering has been an issue in the past there have been images to confirm the incident.
Pakistan forfeited the match after they failed to return to the field after the tea break on the fourth day.
