New Zealand allrounder Andre Adams could miss Auckland's State Championship cricket opener on Friday after being cited during a weekend club match.
Adams will appear before an Auckland Cricket Association judicial hearing today on a charge of unacceptable behaviour, after he allegedly shoved an opposing batsman.
ACA chief executive Lindsay Crocker yesterday said Adams was cited after an umpires' report and could face a suspension if found guilty.
Auckland will play Northern Districts in Gisborne starting on Friday. Adams was also a likely selection for the New Zealand Max Blacks team to play India next week in Christchurch.
