England wrapped up their five-game T20 cricket series with the New Zealand women in a rain-shortened contest at Eden Park yesterday.
Duckworth Lewis rules came into play when the rain arrived, handing the tourists a 10-run win and an unassailable 3-0 lead, having already won the first two games.
England were vulnerable when they were restricted to 108 for six, of which Jenny Gunn made a brisk unbeaten 30 and Lydia Greenway 26. The innings featured three run outs.
New Zealand were progressing solidly at 80 for three in the 17th over but lost four wickets for nine in 15 balls to sit at 90 for seven with seven balls left when the rain arrived.
The last two T20s are in Invercargill this weekend, before the teams meet in three ODIs at Lincoln next week.
