New Zealand Cricket has today confirmed the worst-kept secret in the game with the appointment of former strike bowler Shane Bond as New Zealand bowling coach.
NZC director of cricket, John Buchanan, said he was thrilled to have a coach of such impressive credentials joining the Black Caps coaching staff.
"Shane's international record speaks for itself and in recent years he has developed into a highly skilled coach and mentor,'' said Buchanan.
"His knowledge of the modern game will be a valuable asset to the team and he has the skillset to complement Mike Hesson and Bob Carter.''
Bond, who has also worked with Central Districts previously, said it was an honour to be part of Black Caps coaching unit.
