KEY POINTS:
New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming has again been left out of the team for tomorrow's third one day cricket international against Sri Lanka in Christchurch.
The original 12 players selected for the first two matches have been retained. Daniel Vettori will retain the Black Caps' captaincy.
However, coach John Bracewell says there is nothing sinister in Stephen Fleming's absence.
He said it was always their intention to rest Fleming for the first three games, but no one actually bothered to ask how long he would be resting for.
Bracewell said they wanted to give Fleming a decent break and also to assess Vettori's captaincy ability over more than just two games.
