The West Indies hammered New Zealand by 203 runs to draw their ODI series at Seddon Park tonight.
Having rattled up their highest alltime ODI total, 363 for four, the tourists' dismissed New Zealand for 160 to square the five-game rubber 2-2.
The win was built on fine batting from opener Kieran Powell, with a rollicking 73 off 44 balls, then a record 211-run fourth wicket stand between centurymakers Kirk Edwards and captain Dwayne Bravo.
It is the highest stand for any wicket by a West Indian pair against New Zealand, exceeding the 192 of champion openers Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes at Christchurch in 1987.
It was only 15 short of the ODI record stand against any country, by Shiv Chanderpaul and Carl Hooper against South Africa at East London in 1999.
