When Daniel Vettori does step down as Black Caps captain post-World Cup he has put forward another name as a possible future captain, in addition to Ross Taylor.
Contrary to some past baggage, Vettori says former vice-captain Brendon McCullum remains a contender.
Vettori says McCullum is misunderstood and tries harder than anyone he has seen in his career to date.
He says McCullum would be an aggressive captain who could do a great job.
Vettori says Taylor's performances while captain have been good but he is still relatively young at 26 and he'd hate to think it would affect Taylor's batting.
