Cricket: Vettori rises in ICC ratings

New Zealand captain Dan Vettori has been rated the second-best test allrounder in the International Cricket Council's latest rankings.

South Africa's Jacques Kallis still tops the all-rounders' statistics, while Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan was rated third in the rankings released yesterday.

Virender Sehwag, of India, remains the top-rated batsman, with Sri Lankans Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara holding second and third.

South Africa's Dale Steyn holds on to No 1 place in the batting rankings with Pakistan's Mohammad Asif jumping two places into second and England's Graeme Swann remaining at three.
