KEY POINTS:
New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori paid for a wicket-less outing in the final one-day international against the West Indies yesterday, slipping to second in the International Cricket Council bowling player rankings.
Vettori now sits a point behind Australian Nathan Bracken after taking none for 45 in New Zealand's nine-run win at Napier to wrap up the series.
Teammate and seam bowler Kyle Mills also slipped one spot, to fifth, by the end of the five-match series.
There are still no New Zealanders among the top-20 batsmen, although the in-form Ross Taylor has improved to 23rd.
Jacob Oram remains the world's leading allrounder despite injury ruling him out for most of the series.
The series thrust West Indies captain Chris Gayle up five places, back to the top of the batting rankings.
His punishing 135 at Napier saw him overtake Indian MS Dhoni atop the batting list.
