Black Caps skipper Daniel Vettori hopes his side gets plenty of batting practice in today's fourth one-day-international in Napier.
The series with Pakistan is levelled at 1-1, with three games remaining.
But the hosts are on the back foot after a dismal showing with the bat in the third ODI in Christchurch.
Vettori says the Napier pitch is one where they can get some confidence with the bat.
He says it's usually a 320 to 330 wicket and that doesn't even mean you've scored enough.
The first ball is scheduled to be bowled at 2pm with fine weather forecast.
