Cricket: Vaughn Johnson named assistant NZ coach for England

Wellington cricket coach Vaughn Johnson has been named Black Caps assistant coach for their upcoming tour to England.

Johnson will accompany the team for their three test matches, but returns before the one-day tri-series with the West Indies begins.

Johnson was assistant coach of the Black Caps for their one-day series in Pakistan late last year and coached Wellington to the State Championship title.

The Black Caps leave on April 27.
