Over half the tickets to the Queenstown one day cricket international between New Zealand and Sri Lanka on New Year's Eve have been sold.
The Queenstown Events Centre ground only holds 9500 and 5500 tickets had already been purchased yesterday, New Zealand Cricket marketing manager Peter Dwan said.
He said the game was likely to be a popular attraction for holiday makers in the south and expected it would sell out.
