MELBOURNE - Victoria have recruited leading New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor as a last-minute replacement for Australia's domestic cricket Twenty20 tournament.
The Bushrangers signed Taylor on Christmas Eve after Pakistan's Sohail Tanvir was ruled out with a knee injury.
Taylor will join West Indian Dwayne Bravo as Victoria's international players for the Big Bash tournament.
The New Zealander is the second international replacement for Victoria in the Big Bash, after Sri Lankan Muttiah Muriladaran was also forced to pull out.
The Bushrangers play their first game against Queensland in the competition opener at the 'Gabba on Monday.
Paceman Clint McKay will also join the team today after being relieved from 12th man duties with the Australian test team.
Left-arm quick Dirk Nannes is in the squad after recovering from the hamstring injury that had sidelined him since October.
