Former Australian cricket captain Ian Chappell is talking up the significance of Twenty20 being introduced to the United States.
The Black Caps play an historic two-match series against Sri Lanka starting tomorrow morning in Florida.
Chappell says there is likely to be a number of different cultures keen to embrace the format in the US and points out there is likely to be a good blend of people from the Caribbean, India and Pakistan watching the series.
Chappell says if the IPL can sort itself out, there is no doubt a franchise team from Miami or California could one day exist.
