Scott Styris is leaving Northern Districts to play his domestic cricket for Auckland next summer.
The New Zealand allrounder has played for Northern Districts since 1994 and is currently playing county cricket in England for Middlesex.
"He has moved to Auckland for personal reasons, is living near Eden Park and [when he returns from England] wants to make the most of using the facilities there as he tries to restore his position in the Black Caps," Northern Districts chief executive David Cooper said yesterday.
