Scott Styris brought up his third test century as New Zealand reached a healthy 201 for three at stumps on the second day of the second cricket test against South Africa in Auckland today.
Styris was unbeaten on 118 alongside Craig McMillan on 31 as New Zealand trailed by just 95 after South Africa were dismissed for 296 in their first innings today.
New Zealand were in early trouble at 12 for two but Styris and Mark Richardson added 125 for the third wicket before Richardson was dismissed for 45.
South Africa paceman Shaun Pollock removed Michael Papps for nought to beat Allan Donald's South African test wicket-taking record of 330, but he couldn't add to it in the final session.
