Tim Southee has recovered from minor toe surgery and looks set to be selected for the fourth one-day international against the West Indies tomorrow in Nelson.
Southee says the toe can end up quite bloody after any bowling workout but, with a maximum 10 overs to bowl in ODIs, he's confident he can get through an innings.
He said he's unlikely to cut a hole in his boot to relieve pressure on the toe, preferring to reserve that treatment for test matches.
All the New Zealand squad are fit but may be thwarted by inclement weather as Saxton Oval looks to debut as an international venue with a sell-out crowd of approximately 5300.
The forecast is for a mixture of cloud and rain - an abridged match could result.
