Tim Southee's name may be missing when the Black Caps squad is named this afternoon for the second test against South Africa.
There's talk either Brent Arnel or Andrew Ellis will come into the 11 for Hamilton.
Cricket commentator Bryan Waddle says it should be no surprise Southee's place is under threat after a poor showing in the first test, with some talk that leg-spinner Tarun Nethula will join the squad.
In Dunedin, Southee finished with none for 140 from 36 overs.
