KEY POINTS:
The International Cricket Council is set to appoint controversial umpire Darrell Hair to England's Test series against New Zealand in May.
Hair returned to the ICC's Elite Panel of umpires earlier this week following a six-month period of rehabilitation.
Hair says he would return to Pakistan if asked. He says that is the job of an international umpire and he has been lucky enough to go to some wonderful places in his career and he is now free to go back.
The Australian was suspended from international cricket in November 2006 in the aftermath of the 'forfeited Test' between England and Pakistan at The Oval.
