New Zealand Cricket have held off issuing a statement on their investigation into the late night episode involving test squad members Jesse Ryder and Doug Bracewell.
However Ryder has been dumped from the test squad for the second international against India starting in Wellington on Friday, while Bracewell's foot injury, suffered while the pair were out drinking in the early hours of Thursday morning, counted him out.
"We need to make sure all our players prepare themselves accordingly for test cricket and at the moment we don't have confident that that's the case," New Zealand coach, and selector, Mike Hesson said today.
Hesson fell short of saying their international careers were, at least temporarily, over.
