KEY POINTS:
Former New Zealand batsman Martin Crowe has unleashed a scathing attack on Black Caps opener Aaron Redmond.
Crowe believes Redmond should be dropped from the Black Caps, as the side prepares for a test series against the West Indies, which starts next week.
Crowe says Redmond does not have a future in test cricket, claiming he does not have the technique to bat for long periods and lacks the nous to improve.
Crowe believes Matthew Bell should be considered to replace Redmond, but he favours Auckland left-hander Tim McIntosh.
