KEY POINTS:
No one in the New Zealand camp appears to be losing any sleep over the bowling performance of Daryl Tuffey.
Recalled after a two-year stint in the wilderness, Tuffey was one of New Zealand's main areas of concern in an otherwise outstanding five-wicket win over Australia on Sunday, bowling his 10 overs for 80 runs.
His final analysis was the most expensive completed 10-over spell by a New Zealander in ODI 50-over history.
Tuffey offered cause for concern on Sunday when he included five wides in his spell, bringing back memories of his nightmare start against Australia at the same ground two years ago, when he bowled a 14-ball opening over and conceded 22 from two.
Included in the World Cup squad on a hunch, he is poised to play his third ODI in five days today as coach John Bracewell attempts to bring him up to speed in time for the Caribbean campaign.
"He's obviously been a bit nervous at the start of the last two games but I wouldn't hold any figures against anybody on [Sunday's] performance," said Bracewell - in reference to the high-scoring thriller.
"It's about confidence, really.
"It's about getting back on the horse. His seam presentation has been quite good and you have to remember that sometimes the white ball just doesn't swing."
Bracewell said the key element for Tuffey in terms of his international comeback was to play as much cricket as possible.
"We were always going to play him in all three games to get him up to speed with what we're doing," he said.
"It's been a major shift for him after two years out of the game so we're pleased we're getting him to that point."
