BRISBANE - A continuation of Brisbane's damp summer is likely to delay the start of the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy one-day cricket decider between Australia and New Zealand at The Gabba today.
A month's worth of rain has been dumped on the Queensland capital this week and showed no signs of abating early today.
The third match of the inaugural series was scheduled to start at 4.15pm (NZT) but thick cloud and light rain made a start on time unlikely.
Should rain prevent play the series will be shared as there is no provision for a reserve day. New Zealand are scheduled to head home early tomorrow.
The Black Caps won the series opener by four wickets in Melbourne's Telstra Dome on Sunday before Australia fought back with a 17-run victory in Sydney on Wednesday.
