Rain has delayed the start of the fifth and final day of the second cricket test between New Zealand and Australia at the Basin Reserve here today.
The covers were still on the pitch at the scheduled start of 10am (local time) in similar heavily overcast conditions to the previous day which saw play washed out from 4pm.
New Zealand trailed Australia by 326 runs on the first innings after they were dismissed for 244 yesterday, and were yet to start their follow on.
