KEY POINTS:
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) chairman Sir John Anderson is set to end his innings, after an announcement today that he is retiring from the board.
As well as stepping down from chairman, a role he has held since 1995, Sir John will retire from the International Cricket Council board.
NZC chief executive Justin Vaughn said Sir John would leave a void.
"Since 1995 Sir John has paved the way forward for a resurgence in cricket in New Zealand and his governance during that time has revitalised the sport and its finances, and has seen NZC successfully manage its way through some turbulent issues. His leadership will be missed."
Board member Alan Isaac will be acting chairman until the Board meeting on September 29, when normal annual election of chairman takes place.
Former New Zealand Rugby Union chief executive Chris Moller is to become an NZC board member .
Moller will succeed Dennis Radford, of Palmerston North, who is retiring by rotation.
Moller has held leading positions at Fonterra and New Zealand Milk Products.
He is on the International Rugby Board council and was CEO of the New Zealand Rugby Union from January 2003 until after last year's Rugby World Cup.
