Live updates from day four of third test between the Black Caps and Pakistan in Napier.
8:05pm: That's the end of day four with Pakistan leading by 99 runs at 347 for four.
An intriguing final day lies ahead for both sides in this decider.
It was Pakistan's day as Mohammad Yousuf (89 not out) and Faisal Iqbal (67) made 128 runs between them after the early loss of night watchmen Imran Farhat and (61) and Salman Butt (66).
Yousuf was the star of the show, stringing together eight fours and a single six as his patient batting frustrated the Black Caps who failed to unsettle the experienced right hander from diverting from his natural game.
For New Zealand their biggest cheers of the match came early on and late in the day.
Part time spin bowler Martin Guptill and fast bowlers, Chris Martin and Iain O'Brien were today's heroes for the Black Caps with two and one wicket respectively.
Guptill's two caught and bowled victims Butt and Farhat will be feeling unlucky that they lost their wickets to Guptill after exerting their dominance over more experienced Black Caps pace attack.
Martin and O'Brien struck at a time the New Zealanders really needed a wicket as Mohammad Yousuf (89) and Faisal Iqbal (67) put together a big partnership for the third wicket stand.
Umar Akmal (48) and Misbah-ul-Haq (4) are the night-watchmen for Pakistan.
7:37pm: Heartbreaking for Mohammad Yousuf as he walks back to the pavillion out for 89.
Iain O'Brien in his last test match cuts through the stubborn right hander with a crisp delivery which catches an outside edge on its way to the keeper.
Big wicket for New Zealand.

The players have made their way back out on to the pitch - 13 overs will be played before the day three of the test is called to end.
6:38pm: The rain is back, and the covers are out.
6:30pm: Martin Guptill is given another go with the ball in hand, will he pull another wicket out of the bag?
Yousuf is only 11 runs from a century, his wicket is key to stumping Pakistan from building on to their current lead.
Akmal moves to 36 runs off 62 balls, with Pakistan leading by 83 runs with 331 for three.
6:15pm: Tim Southee (no wickets, 45 runs, 19 overs) fails to pick off Akmal (29) or Yousuf (85) in his first over back to bowling.
Akmal is really turning on the flair with his attacking style of play with the bat in hand.
The youngster looks keen to break the shackles on the slow game by adding more boundaries to the three fours and six he has scored already.
Pakistan lead by 70 runs with 318 for three.
5:50pm: Umar Akmal punishes Daniel Vettori down to the backward point boundary for four to take Pakistan in to the 300's.

Can Yousuf cap off his brilliant innings with a century?
5:15pm: Pakistan head to tea 278 for three with a lead of 28 runs.
The loss of Faisal Iqbal in the last over is a big blow to the visitors as his stay with Mohammad Yousuf proved to be the catalyst for his side's fightback in this match.
Umal is yet to make a run, whilst Yousuf goes up to 75 smashing a four off Iain O'Brien's second to last ball of the over.
5:05pm: Martin's persistence is rewarded with Iqbal falling victim to a caught and bowled wicket for 67.
Umar Akmal takes his place at the crease.
A prayer has been answered for the Black Caps with a much needed wicket.
5:00pm: Nothing is going New Zealand's way as Iqbal (67) and Yousuf (70) smash 19 runs over the last three overs to boost Pakistan to 273 runs with a lead of 26 runs.
Martin had a chance to grab the scalp of Yousuf, but his outside edge fell between Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor carrying through to the boundary.
4:45pm: Faisal Iqbal picks up his fifty and moves to 52 as Pakistan lead by four runs with 252 for two.
Iqbal should have been out on 48 with O'Brien sending in a full length ball which catches the outside of the bat and flies to Taylor who drops a simple catch.
Iqbal's half century makes it four half centuries for Pakistan's top order, a slap in the face to critics who were claiming the tourist's top batters were fragile.
New Zealand urgently need a wicket.
4:30pm: Yousuf (60) and Iqbal (44) move the scoreboard to 242 for two with the Pakistani's trailing by six runs.
Their magnificent partnership of 96 runs has lifted Pakistan right back in to the match.

Tea has been pushed back to 5.10pm as a result.

Pakistan sit on 231 for two.
3:48pm: Play is still not underway as rain continues to fall on the ground at McLean Park.
Yousuf was unbeaten on 51 with Iqbal not far behind on 43.
The tourists trail by 19 runs after 102 overs with just under a day and a half to play before the test's end.
After the two quick wickets earlier today, New Zealand had swung the match back in their favor but this last partnership has evened out the balance of the match.
New Zealand need to separate this pairing as Yousuf in particular has the capability to stay till the end of the innings.
3:30pm: Rain has stopped play at McLean Park in Napier with Pakistan 229 for two.
The ground staff are out with the covers as the little drizzle has turned in to heavier rain.
3:17pm: Mohammad Yousuf celebrates his fifty!
Pushing the ball towards mid-off, Yousuf takes the single and punches the air to signal his half century.
A patient knock from the Pakistani who has looked composed and assured during his stay out in the middle of the pitch.
He and Iqbal (41) have done well to carry on the good work that was started by the Farhat and Butt combination.
The pair has slashed New Zealand's lead to trail by 22 runs.
2:50pm: Play resumes after lunch with Pakistan moving past the 200 mark for 206 runs for the loss of two.

They trail the Black Caps by 42 runs.
2:05pm: Vettori and Southee bowl the last two overs before the lunch break with Pakistan picking up six runs over the last 12 balls.
Pakistan ends the first session with 192 for two, with Faisal (29) and Yousuf (29) doing enough to survive the enthusiastic Kiwi bowling attack after two early wickets.
Martin Guptill was the home side's hero this morning, an unlikely source considering he is only a part time bowler and is in the side for his skills with the bat.
1:53pm: Tim Southee and Chris Martin have taken up the bowling duties for New Zealand.

1:25pm: Faisal and Yousuf's current partnership has racked up 26 runs after being together for 16 overs.
At 1.5 runs an over their run rate is a little low for a pitch which is better suited for batting sides.
They need to pick up more runs if they want to put the squeeze on the Kiwi's as the match is swinging towards the home side's favor.
Vettori and O'Brien are still digging away at the Pakistani's, although they haven't picked up a wicket their efforts are restricting the pair from moving the scoreboard at a fast rate.
80 overs gone, Pakistan have 175 for two.
1:05pm: Vettori brings back Iain O'Brien to the bowling front line in his last innings with the ball in hand for the Black Caps at test level.
Fortunately for the Pakistan side no wickets have been taken since the fall of Farhat, with Faisal (21) and Yousuf (13) hoping to establish another long lasting partnership that their openers produced yesterday.
A crucial partnership for both sides because if the New Zealanders can quickly break down this pairing, the wind will be in the sails.
Pakistan at 168 for two.
12:33pm: What a difference a day makes as Guptill strikes again with fellow night watchman Imran Farhat (61) following Salman Butt in hitting the ball back down the wicket for Guptill to easily cup.

Night watchman Sulman Butt (66) has lost his wicket in the first over of the day with Martin Guptill making the breakthrough.
Daniel Vettori's move to start with the part-time bowler pays off, as Butt lobbed a simple catch back to Guptill to start New Zealand's day in the best way possible.
An early wicket for Pakistan, not the start the side needed after a brilliant day with the bat yesterday.
Faisal Iqbal has come in to bat adding 12 runs of his own to the proceedings already.
Imran Farhat has moved up to 59, with Pakistan 145 for one.
Chris Martin joins Guptill as the first change bowler, six overs have been played this morning.
