Black Caps bowler Shane Bond made a rusty return to top flight cricket on Saturday.
After a long lay off with a back injury, he bowled nine overs in New Zealand A's 46-run win over Sri Lanka A in a one-day match at Lincoln.
After restricting the kiwis to 224-9 from their fifty overs, the visitors collapsed to be all out for 178 in the 45th over.
Bond returned figures of nine overs, no maidens, none for 45, but the good news is he appeared to come through the match with little problem.
Chris Harris provided the star turn for the kiwis, scoring 44 not out with the bat and taking three for 27 bowling.
