Brendon McCullum was last night named New Zealand's cricketer of the year.
Wicketkeeper McCullum also won the Walter Hadlee Trophy for the outstanding one-day international batsman.
"In the domestic and international one-dayers and Twenty20 competitions, he outperformed everyone," national selector and judging panel member Dion Nash said.
McCullum, 27, averaged 69 in ODIs last season, including a stunning 80 not out off only 28 balls against Bangladesh at Queenstown, and his blazing century guided Otago to victory over Auckland in the State Shield one-day final.
Jacob Oram is the inauguralwinner of the JR Reid Trophy forbest allrounder while three other national team members picked up awards.
Ross Taylor won the Redpath Cup as top first-class batsman of the year; fast-medium Chris Martin won the bowling equivalent, the Winsor Cup; and seamer Kyle Mills was named top ODI bowler.
The Phyl Blackler and Ruth Martin Cups, for New Zealand's best woman bowler and batsman respectively, were awarded to Helen Watson and Nicola Brown.
The Young Player award went to national under-19 captain Kane Williamson, while the Sutcliffe Medal for outstanding services to cricket went to Sir Richard Hadlee.
The two awards for top domestic players went to Sara McGlashan and Nathan McCullum.
* Promising Auckland batsman Martin Guptill is out of all cricket until Christmas after badly dislocating his right knee.
The injury occurred while the 22-year-old was batting against Northland and has ruled him out for six to eight weeks.
The former national under-19 representative who toured Australia with the Emerging Players Squad and India with New Zealand A this year, was the top performer in the one-day domestic competition last season, scoring 596 runs at 59.6.
* Former New Zealand captain Stephen Fleming is expected to coach the Chennai Super Kings in next month's inaugural Champions League Twenty20 competition in India. However Fleming is unlikely to play during the competition.
