Cricket: Greatbatch escapes censure

Black Caps coach Mark Greatbatch has escaped censure from New Zealand Cricket after his critical comments of the team.

Greatbatch claims some of his players are out of their depth while others think they are better than they truly are following the 4-0 series defeat to Bangladesh.

NZC CEO Justin Vaughan says the comments haven't concerned him.

He says he has spoken to Greatbatch about the comments but realises he's just passionate about the team.

The first of three tests gets underway in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
