New Zealand paceman James Franklin took a career-best six-wicket haul as Australia were dismissed for 383 in their first innings late on the third day of the third cricket test here today.
It gave the tourists a first innings lead of 91 after New Zealand posted 292.
Franklin took six for 119, his second five-wicket haul in his ninth test.
Wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist was left stranded on 60 not out as Franklin removed tailenders Michael Kasprowicz and Glenn McGrath.
