Cricket: Fans will have to wait for Bond

New Zealand cricket fans won't see Shane Bond at international level for a few months.

The speedster, who has had major back surgery, has ruled out playing either of the tests against Sri Lanka in Napier and Wellington next month.

Speaking after the State Championship match between Canterbury and Central Districts, Bond said he hoped to make his international comeback in one-day matches in August-September.
