One-day cricket kicks off today, with a day-night game between the Black Caps and Australia at Eden Park. Here is your survival guide.
When is it?
* The match starts at 2pm, but it's always more relaxing if you arrive early. The gates open at 12.30pm, the teams start their warm-up then, and there will be big-screen entertainment.
How do I get in?
* South Stand from Reimers Ave, ASB Stand from Walters Rd, Panasonic Stand and terraces from Cricket Ave and West Stand from Reimers or Walters Rd.
Where can I park?
* Well away from the ground is the best advice. The area bounded by New North Rd, Morningside Drive, Paice Ave and Dominion Rd has restricted parking. Free shuttle buses will be roaming Sandringham, Balmoral, New North and Mt Eden Rds, ready to carry you to the park, and back to your car afterwards. The Eden Park Free Shuttle Bus will run in a left-hand loop at 10-15 minute intervals between noon and 2.30pm and again from 9pm until 10.30pm.
What about a train?
* Normal train services will run to Britomart from the south and east, and then you take a train to Kingsland. If you are coming in from the west, you just get off at Kingsland. Connex suggests you allow 45 minutes to get from Britomart to your seat in the park. The Britomart Shuttle will be operating immediately after the game.
Will the normal bus services run?
* Yep. The Sandringham Rd service runs every 15 minutes from the CBD, and Dominion Rd buses every 10 minutes.
Taxis?
* Book now if you want to cab it and after the match head to the taxi ranks on Sandringham Rd (between Reimers Ave and Royal Tce, and also north of Kingsland Station), in Onslow Rd and outside Foodtown in Valley Rd.
Can I take my own food and drink?
* You can take your own picnic or similar, certainly, so long as you only use plastic cutlery. You can also buy food at the ground. You must not take any glassware or cans, or bottles of drink larger than one litre. And you cannot take alcohol into the park.
What happens if I want a beer?
* You can buy beer and wine in plastic bottles at the ground.
What happens if it rains?
* You do it all tomorrow.
