The New Zealand cricket team heads to Brisbane this weekend for a week-long training camp ahead of the Twenty20 World Cup, which starts in the West Indies at the end of the month.
Team manager Dave Currie said the Brisbane training camp will include most of the 15 man squad announced in March, plus three of the non-traveling reserve squad.
"The camp is a way to fine-tune the squad and make sure that players are in the best physical and mental state possible before we get to the tournament," said Currie. "We will be looking to re-create realistic game scenarios throughout the week, and putting the type of pressure on players which reflects situations they might face during the World Cup."
The Black Caps will play two warm up matches in the Caribbean in late April, against Ireland and the West Indies.
Their tournament begins with a match against Sri Lanka on April 30 then they play Zimbabwe four days later.
