The end appears to be nigh for the Black Caps on the last day of the second cricket test against Australia in Adelaide

New Zealand has made a disastrous start to the final day salvage mission.

Overnight batsmen Jacob Oram and Brendon McCullum have both been dismissed early.

Oram could not add to his overnight score of 40, while McCullum was dismissed for 36.

In pursuit of a massive 464 to win, the score had progressed to 243-9 at lunch.
