London's fickle weather is causing the Black Caps to glance nervously skyward ahead of their Twenty20 World Cup opener against Scotland at The Oval tonight.
The forecast has changed often this week and while sunny intervals are currently expected, rain has fallen in the city overnight and could yet play a part.
All rounder James Franklin says this is the kind of game they desperately want to complete because it is one they should win easily. Franklin says when you are playing against the lower ranked teams you want to play and get the points for the win.
Franklin is in line to bat at number seven after impressing in the Black Caps warm up win over India earlier this week.
