Champion leg-spinner Shane Warne will play the full season for the Melbourne Stars in the inaugural edition of the Big Bash League Twenty20 tournament.
Warne told a media conference on Tuesday that once he decided to make his comeback in the BBL, he was determined to do it properly.
And that meant playing the full season for the Stars, rather than a token one or two appearances.
His first game will be against the Sydney Thunder at the MCG on December 17.
Warne, 42, retired from Test cricket in early 2007 after Australia completed a 5-0 Ashes series whitewash of England.
