Victoria has appointed Shane Warne as their captain for the upcoming domestic cricket season.
Coach David Hookes said Warne's aggression and natural leadership would be important for the team, even though he might be available for only three or four matches this summer because of international commitments.
Warne was Victorian captain in the 1999-2000 season before losing the job to paceman Paul Reiffel.
Matthew Elliott is vice-captain after leading the side last summer.
