Justin Vaughan has decided to step down from his role as CEO of New Zealand Cricket (NZC) at the end of November.
Vaughan has cited two main reasons for his departure; the need for NZC to have a CEO who will commit through to the co-hosting of the Cricket World Cup of 2015, and the intense travel requirements of the role which is not ideal with a young family.
"It's been a hard decision to make but I'm certain it's the right time for me to explore new opportunities,'' said Vaughan.
"I have loved the role and have been privileged to serve New Zealand Cricket.''
NZC Chairman Chris Moller said "Justin's achievements include growing NZC's revenue by 60%, negotiating a long term partnership with our professional player's association and securing a very positive international programme for New Zealand from 2012 to 2020.
