The Blacks Caps are continuing to break records in 2015 and their 10 wicket thrashing of Zimbabwe brought up some more remarkable numbers.
Martin Guptill and Tom Latham's unbeaten opening stand of 236 guided New Zealand to victory - as they chased down Zimbabwe's 235-9 with ease - and it was their highest ever partnership in an ODI run chase.
The pair both made centuries and it's only the second time ever that two New Zealand openers have ever achieved that in the same ODI, with the last occasion coming against minnows Ireland in 2008.
As detailed on ESPN cricinfo - The Black Caps had only registered one 100-plus partnership in the 33 months before 2015 but the partnership between Guptill and Latham was the third they've scored this calendar year.
Guptill became the 10th New Zealander to pass 4000 ODI runs and he's now third on the Blacks Caps ODI hundreds list with eight. He's now level with Stephen Fleming but still way behind Nathan Astle and Ross Taylor, who've scored 16 and 15 ODI centuries respectively.
