Sachin Tendulkar must wait at least another week to score an elusive 100th international century after being dismissed for 80 on the fourth day of the second test against Australia.
Tendulkar was caught by Mike Hussey at slip off part time offspinner Michael Clarke just after lunch Friday at the Sydney Cricket Ground, prolonging one of cricket's most anticipated centuries.
The "Little Master" has been one short of becoming the first cricketer to score 100 centuries since March. Ahead of the match, he averaged an astonishing 221 at the SCG. Tendulkar scored 41 in the first innings.
Tendulkar's next chance to reach the milestone will be during the third test in Perth starting Jan. 13.
